- 09.50 am: Opening event
featuring traditional ceremony of ‘Colours' and raising of the Australian
White Ensign. Performed by Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Band and Cadets from
the Training Ship CANBERRA.
- 10. 00 am: Wet winch
rescue demonstration by Navy Agusta A109E helicopter.
- 10.00 am – 4.30 pm:
Static displays and helicopter flight simulator open to the public.
- 10.10 am: Navy Agusta
A109E helicopter lands at Navy Day site.
- 10.10 am – 10. 45 am:
RAN Band on stage.
- 10.10 am – 10.30 am:
Diving demonstration.
- 10.30 am – 2.45 pm: Navy
Agusta A109E helicopter open for public inspection.
- 10.30 am: Fly in and
land on of a Navy Historic Flight Iroquois helicopter.
- 10.35 am – 10.50 am:
Shipboard fire fighting demonstration.
- 10.45 am – 215 pm: Navy
Historic Flight Iroquois helicopter open for public inspection.
- 10.55 am – 11.35 am: RAN
Band on stage.
- 11.00 am – 3.00 pm: Face
painting artists operating.
- 11.05 am- 11.30 am:
Diving demonstration.
- 11.40 am – 11.55 am:
Shipboard fire fighting demonstration.
- 12.00 pm – 12.30 pm: Navy
Recruit Enlistment ceremony.
- 12.30 pm – 12.55 pm:
Diving demonstration.
- 1255 – 1330: RAN Band on
stage.
- 1.00 pm – 1.30 pm: Sports
and games for the younger children - prizes and Navy memorabilia handouts
available.
- 1.30 pm – 1.45 pm:
Shipboard fire fighting demonstration.
- 1.45 pm– 2.00 pm: Dragon
Boat races.
- 2.05 pm – 2.30pm: Diving
demonstration.
- 2.15 pm: RAN Historic
Flight helicopter closed for public inspection.
- 2.35 pm: RAN Historic
Flight helicopter launches and departs Canberra.
- 2.45pm: Navy A109E Agusta
helicopter closed for public inspection.
- 3.00 pm: Navy A109E
Agusta helicopter launches and commences wet winch rescue demonstration.
- 3.10 pm – 5.10 pm:
Sailing races in Lake Burley Griffin Basin.
- 3.10 pm: Navy A109E
Agusta helicopter departs Canberra.
- 3.15 pm – 3.30 pm:
Shipboard fire fighting demonstration.
- 3.30 pm– 4.10 pm: RAN
Band on stage.
- 3.50 pm – 4.20 pm:
Diving demonstration.
- 4.30 pm: Closing
ceremony comprising 'Beat to Quarters' performed by the RAN Band followed by
'Ceremonial Sunset' featuring the RAN Band and Australia's Federation Guard
(Navy element).
- 5.00 pm: Navy Day
concludes.
